I think we can all agree on the fact that train and bus rides aren't the most fun things to do. I have to travel an hour by train myself every day! Which is pretty long and boring, so I figured, why not give my fellow travelers some tips to survive those long trips!
Homework:
With the classes I attend at the moment I get a lot of homework as well, because we don't have a lot of classes where we actually practice filming this semester.
I love taking my laptop with me on the train to start on those annoying papers that are due tomorrow. Yeah, you know them! Procrastination for the win!
Reading
I am a huge reader myself, and when you are truly engulfing yourself in a story, time does fly. You might even not even wanna get off the train! Who wants to close a book when the main character is just about to make a huge decision, Or is about to fight the bad guy?! I hate cliffhangers!
And if you don't feel the need to lug around 20 extra pounds of books, you can always invest in a e-Reader! I have one myself and I totally suggest those things to all of you book lovers out there!
This is the E-reader I have
And because a e-Reader is nothing without some good books, here are my suggestions:
Gone girl by Gillian Flynn Divergent trilogy by Veronica Roth
The Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling The fault in our stars by John Green
A decade of Darkness, a life reclaimed by Michelle Knight The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
Hunger games trilogy by Suzanne Collins Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien
If I stay by Gayle Forman Where she Went by Gayle Forman
Perks of being a wallflower by Stephen Chbosky The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis
If you have any suggestions for me to read, or do you want me to review a book: Let me know!
Sleeping
this one doesn't need a lot of explaining, but when you get up at 5 every morning because you have to travel for a Long time, you'll be exhausted! The train or bus is the perfect opportunity to catch some extra Sleep, but make sure you dont miss your stop! My advise: Set an alarm, that way you're sure to wake up in time.
Movies or series
Missed an episode of your favorite series the other day? Or is there a movie you wanna catch up on?
It is so easy to stream movies or series in this time and age, and 99% of the trains do have WiFi to connect your device with. A lot of people use Netflix for streaming, but that's not free! I personally prefer Popcorntime. This is actually exactly like Netflix , but its's free to download and you don't have to sign up! There are so many movies on there and all the series you can think off, and you can subtitle it as well in a lot of languages. Definitely worth checking out!
I hope I gave you some ideas for your spare time in the train, and that my fellow travelers won't be bored anymore!
XOXO
